Lady Cottington's Pressed Fairy Book Cover:: I’ve taught you all the terminology of queer fandom, headcanons/theories, canon, and applying queer analysis to fictional media…let’s use what we know on this children’s book, Lady Cottington’s Pressed Fairy Book, written by Terry Jones and illustrated by Brian Froud.

:: I grew up reading this book when I was around 10 years old and my mom would read it to me and my sister.

:: I made an theatrical audio book project when I was 17 when I was rereading it and it had new meaning for me that wasn’t otherwise visible to me before as a child. You’ll get to listen to it as I analyze and talk about the art within the book.

:: In later episodes of this book analysis, you’ll understand what it meant to me when my mom was preparing for her child who she could see as queer from the beginning. Stay tuned.

Today’s headcanon: I think Angelica Cottington accidentally slipped into the fairy realm.
