Telephone companies like Global Tel Link and Securus are pocketing millions of dollars from the families of prisoners. Through predatory phone rates and unreasonable fees, these companies prey on the need from families to stay in touch with their incarcerated loved one. This needs to stop.
For decades the Lifeline program has connected millions of low-income families to a telephone. We believe in today’s increasingly digital world, the Lifeline program can bring the promise of the Internet to millions of poor families online. Sign this petition to the Federal Communications Commission extending your support for modernizing the Lifeline program!
