Podcast #35: Red Nation 1987

About 10 years ago, Myron Red Day asked me to help him put Red Nation Drumming onto some cd’s so people could hear the drumming of this fantastic drum group.

Myron was drumming at a Pow Wow in South Dakota in 1987. A friend of his was able to record the performance by using a VCR with a microphone hooked up to it. Myron handed me the the VHS cassette and we took it to my studio. We stripped the music from the Video Cassette and Myron narrated the meanings of each of these songs in the hope that he could revive the sounds of the Red Nation Drummers.
